Disagree with this and other Damage over time spells being considered Debuffs. Suggesting "Damage Over Time" page in the future instead. This would go for all Damage over time spells listed as such; Simmer, Boil, Shiver, Chill, Sizzle, and Leech.

I don't completely disagree with this suggestion but I don't want too many layers of spells such as heal over time and damage over time etc.

If you have a better word for all of these "over time" events I would be up to talk about it.

Sounds reasonable. Some ideas, though wordy, are "Healing/Damage Over Time" but besides being wordy could confuse the reader into thinking simmer also heals somehow. "Over Time" seems fitting, but I could understand if another word would be preferred.

"Durational?" "Periodic?" -TalZahn

Templates

Just use something like the Effect: Progressive, then explain on the progressive page the difference between HOT/DOT, when linking just use Damage/Time or Healing/Time.

I am going to grab -all- The spells and link them at the top of the Abilities page with the corresponding spell type (Hence why I changed Single to SingleAlly / SingleEnemy. I don't mind if its persistent + offensive / healing because that would work as well. We just need the right word.

I've changed the Simmer page to use the same template as the equipment does, I think it's better to keep everything more uniform as for design and appearance. This goes for monsters as well since the image being used actually looks out of place and awkward. (no offense to whoever made it) Mikau 13:07, 18 March 2011 (CDT)

Mikau we dropped that equipment template, we decided it looked back and if there is no info we have nothing to put in it. Please use the current template located at Template:Armor // Template:Monster // Template:Weapon and if you make any changes to pages PLEASE edit the existing templates instead of changing the whole page. Template:Skill - Template:SkillE this means we don't need to go back and change 100 pages.

What?

I'm sorry, but are you stupid? How exactly does a uniform look like http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Skeleton look worse than a shitty little box like http://nestalgiawiki.com/index.php?title=Template:Weapon

I was being nice about it, but apparently you have absolutely no idea what looks good, and what doesn't.

It doesn't matter if there isn't a whole lot of information to put on it, the fact of the matter is that you're sticking some awkward looking black box on a white background with nothing else around it. It sticks out like a sore thumb and makes it look like the wiki was designed by a 4 year old with a crayon set, and he only had black and blue left.

This isn't a discussion of finding a middle ground either, it's me telling you that every wiki uses that standard look for a reason, because it's efficient and it works. Stop trying to be a special snowflake with your black and blue box because it looks like like a train wreck. Mikau 12:37, 19 March 2011 (CDT)

Seriously...

How is that an improvement?

I was saying is...
1. we dropped the template which your suggesting, if you want "to use the same template" then this is not the way you want to do it. (We dropped it because it had too much info for simple items Iron_Sword = lots of empty space )
2. If you are going to "CHANGE" a page don't change the the actual page, you change the template to change "ALL" of the pages of the same type.
3. The current template I pasted for monster/armor/weapons is just a rough menu that we can pretty up. I am hoping that we can change the look to something like ... Template:Interface-Blue so it can have the 8-bit feel.
4. If you have a beef with me you can post it to me directly instead of freaking out on the wiki. Please take a breather and discuss it like an adult or please step away so we can finish this without people raging.

For what it is worth, I like how Simmer looks currently over having a box off to the side. Blank space just doesn't look nice in my opinion.

Over time

What's the official word on what will replace Debuff on "Over Time" spells? TalZahn 15:53, 19 March 2011 (CDT)

After looking over the words I guess over time might work.
