Dispelling abilities remove buffs and/or debuffs when used. This is similar to cancelling, a trait that abilities such as Harden have when used on a target afflicted by their opposite (Soften in the case of Harden). Most dispelling abilities are also support abilities.

Smoke is an example of a dispelling ability, as is Soothe.
