The pirate base is located north of Piatta, across a small bridge. It is a small quest hub that is must be visited in order to progress further into the game due to being part of the quest line that grants access to the Magic Key.
A pirate at the entrance will sell you Crab Bait, which increases the chances of recruiting a Giant Crab, for 10 Gold.
A man near the ferry will change your name or the name of one of your pets for a fee of 5000 Gold.
Transportation
The base has a ferry that can take you to Nanuk or Bedoe Pass (a small town just east of Mt. Vezu) for 100 gold.
